This summer, I will be performing with my friends, Mr. Chris Hampton and his band, for a series of shows in and around the Appalachian Mountains.
I initially met Chris, through a mutual friend and bandmate when I moved to Athens, and was thrilled when he asked me to participate in this project. Chris has opened for the likes of George Jones and Ricky Nelson, and has also played for T. Graham Brown and Percy Sledge.
Focusing on Motown and Big Hits, Michael Jones (of the TAMS) and myself, will be performing as the male and female lead singers of this outfit. Our sets will range from Stevie Wonder and The Temptations, to Etta James and Aretha Franklin.
Our shows will be private parties in and around the Appalachian Highlands (North Carolina and South Carolina), and summer festivals in and around the North Georgia mountains. These shows will be all-ages and so much fun!
